Lance Johnson has gone through the ranks. He started as a patent examiner, became an associate handling prosecution, litigation support, and prior art studies for freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement issues. He progressed to partner and was responsible for prosecuting and defending infringement litigation, providing counsel to clients on new products, and defending his opinions in court. Mr. Johnson has served as an expert witness on patent law matters and successfully pursued the first inter partes reexamination.
