About Paul

Paul Murty is a Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar.

Paul is a proud Double-Gator, having obtained both his undergraduate and law school degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. In 2012, Paul attained his Bachelor of Art in English, with a concentration in Pre-Medicine sciences. Paul went on to achieve his Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List and obtained the Book Award for receiving the highest grade in Patent Prosecution & Drafting, as well as in an Entrepreneurship Law Practicum.

While he was a law student, Paul worked as an intern with a biotechnology firm in Alachua, Florida, as well as with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. Paul also worked as a Patent Fellow at the University of Florida’s Office of Technology Licensing.

After graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016, Paul became a registered patent attorney, and joined the Concept Law Group in October of 2016.

Paul assists clients in all areas of intellectual property, including Copyrights, Patents, and Trademarks. Paul prepares and prosecutes patent applications in several major areas, including medical, electrical, and mechanical devices, as well as software and many other areas of technology.

Outside of work, Paul spends a significant amount of time playing his guitar and listening to his vinyl record collection. As an avid sports fan, Paul rarely misses a Tampa Bay Lightning or Glasgow Celtic game.
